Norm Decke Memorial Trophy is presented each year for the best completed project in the last previous 12 months. Owen Bennett receives the 2010 award for his superb NZR 0-6-0 style Phantom. Here he receives the award from Norms son Brian Decke. Owen on mid right of photos.

Two other entries were highly commended, Steve James for his"EO 45" Electric loco and a.1/2 scale of a 1HP Root and Vanderuoort Horizontal gas.engine built by Maurie Gore.

They came on all sizes and both ground and raised tracks were kept busy all the time.
Some were small and some were big but all trains showed the dedication of their owners.
The passengers delighted in the rides and it mattered not if the loco was black ,bIg and smokey
Ted the Station Master was kept busy selling tickets and the station was always busy with people.
Another almost completed Phantom in its splendid red colour and shiny brasswork.
